Canton Family Dentist
Everyone in your family—including your youngest children—needs to see a dentist for routine cleanings and exams. With these regular visits, Dr. Shoukfeh and his Canton team can help you clean your smile and look for any common oral health problems. The most common issues include tooth decay, gum disease, teeth grinding, and TMJ dysfunction. Finding any of these and treating them as early as possible is essential to helping patients enjoy better overall health and wellbeing.
The Importance of Dental Cleanings
Good oral health starts at home with routine brushing and flossing. It shouldn’t end there, though. With our dental tools, we can help you clean areas of your smile that are difficult to clean with basic brushing and flossing. During your appointment, Dr. Shoukfeh will also have an opportunity to assess your health and recommend any additional services if necessary.
How Often Should I Visit Dr. Shoukfeh?
For a healthy smile, we recommend visiting our Canton dental office at least twice a year, or about every six months, for cleanings and exams. With frequent visits, we can diagnose problems early, before they become serious.
Extra Protection with Dental Sealants
As part of our commitment to preventing and treating the most common oral health problems, we offer dental sealants. Tooth decay is caused when bacteria erode the durable layer of enamel on the outside of teeth. Dental sealants are applied as a liquid and then are hardened to form a thin plastic layer that prevents bacteria from damaging teeth. While it takes just a few minutes to apply sealants, they can last for years to come.
